New in version 26.0
Every day now appears in the list
Whether or not it has events. Empty days show a dash, and today says No Events Today. This was the most requested change in the app's history, so it is on for everyone and there is no setting to turn it off. If you prefer to see only the days that have events, that is what the List view has always been for — tap the magnifying glass.
Scroll to select
Scrolling the event list now moves the selected day along with it, within the month you are on. Turning the page still moves between months.
Where has the Today widget gone?
Version 26.0 no longer includes the old Today widget — the panel you reached by swiping right on the Home Screen.
Nothing was taken away that still worked. That widget was built on Today extensions, a technology iOS 18 disabled entirely. If you are running iOS 18 or later, the widget stopped working when you updated iOS, not when you updated Page Calendar. Version 26.0 requires iOS 18, so everyone who can install it already had a widget that no longer ran.
If you are on iOS 17 or earlier you keep version 3.2, and its widget continues to work as before.
Calendars and events
My events don't appear
Page Calendar shows the calendars already on your iPhone — iCloud, Google, Exchange, .ics subscriptions. It has no account of its own and stores nothing separately.
- Check that calendar access is allowed in Settings › Apps › Page Calendar.
- Then check which calendars are ticked under Calendars, at the bottom right of the app.
A Google calendar doesn't appear
iOS only fetches the Google calendars that are ticked on Google's own sync page — secondary and shared calendars are often unticked there by default. A calendar that is not ticked never reaches your iPhone, so no app can display it. Tick it on Google's calendar selection page, then reopen Page Calendar.
I can't edit or delete an event
Some calendars are read-only — subscribed calendars, holiday calendars, and calendars shared with you without permission to make changes. Page Calendar cannot edit those, and no longer offers an Edit option on them. Whoever shares the calendar controls this.
An event is on the wrong day or at the wrong time
Check the time zone on the event itself in the iOS Calendar app. Events created in another time zone are shown in yours, which can move them across midnight.
Display options
Tap the gear icon to reach Preferences.
- Week starts on — choose any day of the week.
- Weekdays in gray — grey out whichever days you treat as the weekend.
- Month event indicators — coloured dots, or the number of events written in Roman numerals.
- Badge App Icon — show today's date on the app icon.
The app icon badge doesn't show the date
Two switches are needed, both of them: notifications must be allowed in Settings › Notifications › Page Calendar, with Badges turned on, and Badge App Icon must be set in the app's Preferences.
Requirements
Version 26.0 requires iOS 18 or later and is designed for iPhone. If your iPhone is on an earlier version of iOS, the App Store will offer you version 3.2, which continues to work.
Privacy
Page Calendar does not collect, share or transmit any personal data. Your calendar and contact data is displayed only through the native calendar and contacts databases on the device itself. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising.
